Helpful tips: Always work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always pre-drill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck!
Use the t-square and pencil to draw out your cut lines. Then take your saw and make the cuts on each side.
Cut all the boards to the specified dimensions and drill each board with the pocket holes indicated in the drawing below. Apply wood glue between each board and fasten with 1 1/4” kregg screws.
Attach the chalkboard to the back of the frame using the 1/2″ brad nails. Then, screw on each decorative corner bracket to the front of the frame.
